Luanda – Angolan head of State João Lourenço returned to Luanda from Libreville (Gabon) where he participated in the XXIII Summit of the Economic Community of Central African States (ECCAS).
The Angolan Head of State was welcomed in Luanda by the Vice-President Esperança da Costa and members of the Angola's Executive.
The meeting of ECCAS Heads of State and Government reviewed Saturday issues of security and peace in that region and issues related to the organisation's economic nature.
The high-level meeting was marked by speeches delivered by the host President Ali Bongo Ondimba, the ECCAS's president, the Angolan Gilberto Veríssimo, and the president of the African Union Commission, Moussa Faki Mahamat.
Gilberto Veríssimo, defended, in Libreville, the implementation of the Peace and Security Council of the region, to strengthen the political cooperation and security of the member countries. AL/ADR/CF/NIC
