The Head of State, who disembarked at Capanda Aerodrome, then went to the municipality of Cacuso, for a guided tour of the Quizenga Lutete Farm.
The agro-industrial enterprise has state-of-the-art equipment to support the production and processing of grains (corn, beans and soybeans).
The goal of Gesterra SA, the entity managing this project, is to reach the figure of 20 thousand tons of grains per year.
More than 1400 young people from the locality are employed in various productive areas on this farm.
In addition to employability, the Farm also has a social component.
According to the visit program to which ANGOP had access, President João Lourenço will also find out about the production conditions of the BIOCOM project, located in the commune of Pungo a Ndongo.
Biocom is an Angolan company that produces, distributes and sells sugar, ethanol and electricity from biomass.
It is installed in the Capanda Agro-Industrial Complex, in the municipality of Cacuso, in an area of 81,201 hectares, of which 70,106 are arable and 11,095 are destined for areas of permanent preservation of native vegetation.
Biocom's sugar production is destined for the domestic market, the electricity production has RNT (National Electricity Transmission Network) as its client and ethanol is supplied to the beverage and cleaning products industries.
On Thursday morning (07), the second day of the working visit, the Holder of Executive Power has planned a meeting with the provincial government.
At the meeting, the provincial governor, Marcos Alexandre Nyunga, will be able to present to the Head of State the balance and perspectives of social impact projects in the region.
President João Lourenço's last trip to Malanje took place in May this year, where he inaugurated the water supply system to the capital city of the province and attended the completion of the works on the Laúca Hydroelectric Plant.
With an installed capacity of 2,070 megawatts, the Laúca Hydroelectric Plant is the largest in the country and contributes 40% of the electricity needed for the country's current consumption.
Malanje has economic potential in agriculture, producing cassava, rice, sweet potatoes, sunflower, sisal, mango, citrus fruits, cotton, tobacco and sugar cane, with these last three crops being interconnected with the industrial sector.
With more than one million inhabitants, the province has 14 municipalities, namely Cacuso, Calandula, Cambundi-Catembo, Cangandala, Caombo, Cuaba Nzoji, Cunda Diabaza, Luquembo, Malanje, Marimba, Massango, Caculama-Macari, Quela and Quirima.
