Luanda- The Head of State João Lourenço, accepted Monday in Luanda the invitation to visit the Republic of Cape Verde, made by his counterpart, José Maria Neves.
João Lourenço revealed the fact during the press conference held at the end of the official talks between delegations of both countries, declaring that “I gladly accept to carry out this visit, on the dates that our diplomats establish”.
The invitation was made during a meeting between both statesmen, within the framework of the State visit of the President of Cape Verde, José Maria Neves to Angola aimed at strengthening friendship and cooperation relations between the two Portuguese countries.
The visit to Angola is the first one done by José Maria Neves abroad, since he took office as head of the Cape Verdean state, last November.
In the investiture of José Maria Neves as the fifth President of Cape Verde since the country's independence, on 05 July 1975, dignitaries from various countries were present, including the Angolan President, João Lourenço.
