Luena - UNITA leader Adalberto Costa Júnior has urged the Angolan people to avoid the mistake of the past but rather work on promotion of peace and stability.
UNITA candidate for the President of Republic made the call on Sunday in Luena, eastern Moxico province, when addressing a mass gathering, as part of electoral campaign underway across the country.
He recommended to work together on building of a new and inclusive country, stating that the country deserves to be reconciled and on the path of sustainable development, without starvation and poverty among families
Adalberto Costa Júnior reiterated his party’s commitment to help young people achieve their dreams by promoting the country's industrialisation, in case it wins the elections.
The UNITA’s leader demanded free, democratic and transparent elections in Angola, adding that he was convinced of the win in the polls.
Prior to Moxico, Adalberto Costa Júnior presented his party 's manifesto and governance programme in Lunda Norte and Lunda Sul provinces.
In addition to UNITA, there are seven other contending political organisation for August 24 general elections.
They are MPLA, PRS, FNLA, APN, PHA and P-NJANGO parties and the CASA-CE coalition.
