Luanda - The eight political forces participating in the fifth general elections in Angola, scheduled for next Wednesday, 24, intensified their actions aimed to convince the undecided voters, with door-to-door campaigning, rallies and marches.
PHA
The Humanist Party of Angola (PHA), in the event of an election victory, plans to create a government department to guarantee the protection of citizens in birth, growth, reproduction and death, with a view to safeguarding the various stages of life.
During a hunting for vote campaign held in the city of Sumbe (Cuanza Sul Province), Filomena Lebreiro, vice-president of the PHA, said that the creation of this department would protect and rescue the dignity of the human being.
P-NJANGO
Addressing to its militants in the municipalities of Caála and Ecunha, Huambo Province, the president of the Political Commission of the P-NJANGO, Chitué Michael José, said that if his party win the elections, it will focus on improving health care, building more infrastructures and implementing more effective strategies to fight malaria.
The promotion of family farming and industrial agriculture to reduce hunger, poverty and regional asymmetries are also among the actions that the P-NJANGO proposes to develop.
UNITA
The largest opposition party´s candidate for President of the Republic, Adalberto Costa Júnior, said Wednesday that, if UNITA bocomes government, it is in condition to correspond to the will of the people, with a leadership that the country needs.
UNITA also carried out a mobilization campaign in the municipality of Kilamba Kiaxi in Luanda and asked the electorate for serenity and discipline.
FNLA
During the campaign after highlighting family farming and industrial agriculture among the priorities of its governance programme, the FNLA introduced meritocracy in its communication with the voting voters.
The party´s candidate for President of the Republic, Nimi a Simbi at the end of a march held in Huambo Province, said that he would implement meritocracy in Angola in case of winning the elections on 24th August.
CASA-CE
The provincial secretary of CASA-CE, Moisés Ngunza, on Wednesday promised the creation of a textile factory in Malanje Province, with a view to adding value to cotton production in the region and improving the living conditions of the producer families.
According to Moisés Ngunza, who was speaking at a mass rally in Cacuso Municipality, the establishment of a textile factory in Malanje, which has a reserved area of 250,000 hectares for cotton production in Baixa de Cassanje, will attract more rural families.
APN
The president of the National Patriotic Alliance (APN), Quintino Moreira, said that if he wins the elections, he plans to grant a subsidised bank credit of 50 million kwanzas for each Malanje farmer.
Speaking at a rally, at Xawande market, in the city of Malanje, the politician made it known that, with this plan his party intends to boost family farming and industrialise it, in order to foster employability within the population and develop the region.
PRS
In the Province of Luanda, the Social Renewal Party (PRS) promised to improve the accommodation conditions, electricity power and water supply in the informal markets, in case of wining the 24 August elections.
At the end of a voter mobilization event at the Asa Branca market in Cazenga Municipality, the party´s provincial secretary, Novais Samungole, considered “disgraceful” the vendors conditions and promised to change the situation.
MPLA
In a mass political act, MPLA´s first secretary in Uige Province, José Carvalho da Rocha, promised that if his party wins this month´s elections, electric power will be installed in Ambuila Municipality, in order to allow for the transformation of agricultural products produced in that locality.
In Saurimo, Lunda Sul Province, MPLA intensified mobilization campaigns among undecided voters.
