Luanda - National Police have arrested 142 national citizens in connection with electoral offences in 15 provinces of the country, with the exception of Namibe, Cuando Cubango and Cunene provinces.
The spokesperson for the Elections Assurance Command Post, commissioner Orlando Bernardo told the journalists that the offences were committed on Elections day, Wednesday, 24 August.
Crimes such as document forgery, insult to authority, gathering within 100 meters from the polling stations after casting their ballot, inciting a riot, were among the crimes.
Speaking at a press conference to present the results of the last elections, the spokesman called on citizens to refrain from acts that disturb public order and safety.
