Benguela - MPLA president João Lourenço Thursday in coastal Benguela province announced 479 million euros to facelift, over the next five years, the neighborhoods of the municipalities of Benguela, Catumbela , Lobito and Baía Farta.
The politician made the pledge at a mass political rally in Benguela province, during which, he announced the availability of resources through a line of funding for the integrated infrastructures of the four cities in Benguela province.
He explained that the amount will also cover the works on streets of Cubal, Ganda and Balombo, the requalification of the Praia Morena waterfront, in Benguela, Morro and the Chapanguela market, in Lobito.
He also announced Executive’s plans to continue to complete the repair works of several sections of internal roads, such as those connecting the neighboring provinces of Huambo, Cuanza Sul and Huíla.
Five days before the end of the electoral campaign, João Lourenço announced that, if his party wins the elections, it will build the external ring road to the cities of Benguela, Catumbela and Lobito.
Angolans will vote next Wednesday (24 August) for the fifth time to elect the President of the Republic, the Vice-President and the 220 MPs to the Assembly.
