Luanda – To mark the 19th day of electoral campaign, the eight political forces contesting the 24th August elections continue “hunting” for votes across the country.
PHA
The president of the Humanist Party of Angola (PHA), Florbela Malaquias, inaugurated the provincial headquarters of her party in Malanje Province.
P-NJANGO
The first vice-president of the Nationalist Party for Justice in Angola (P-NJANGO), António Barros, promised Thursday to install piped water in the urban district of Ramiros, in Luanda Province, in the next five years, if his party wins the elections.
UNITA
UNITA´s candidate for President of the Republic, Adalberto Costa Júnior, said in Dundo Municipality of Lunda Norte Province that he would change the current composition of the National Electoral Commission (CNE), to have one representative from each party, in case of winning the ballot on 24 August.
FNLA
The Nationalist Front for the Liberation of Angola held a rally in the informal market of Camanongue Municipality, in Moxico Province, led by its first provincial secretary, Martins Coji Dias, and proceeded with the campaign for votes in Soyo, Zaire Province.
CASA-CE
In the Province of Huambo, the head of CASA-CE list, Manuel Fernandes, took part in a march throughout the main streets of the capital city.
APN
The President of the National Patriotic Alliance (APN), Quintino Moreira, said during the party´s ten minutes of airtime on Angola National Radio station that he will grant loans with “subsidised interest rates” for the development of agriculture, fisheries, livestock and micro, small and medium enterprises with a view to promoting youth employment.
PRS
In its RNA´s station ten minutes of airtime, the leader of the Social Renewal Party (PRS), Benedito Daniel, stressed that he will restructure the tourism sector in Angola, with infrastructures and other basic conditions that will allow for the diversification of the economy, in case of victory in the elections.
MPLA
In a mass event, in Ndalatando Municipality of Cuanza Norte Province, MPLA´s candidate for President of the Republic, João Lourenço, promised to respect the results of the general elections and invited the other political forces to do the same.
