Luanda - The National Assembly (AN) takes to discussion and vote, for its approval, Wednesday, the General State Account (CGE) for the 2020 fiscal year.
According to a document from the National Assembly to which ANGOP has had access, the voting is scheduled to take place during the 5th Ordinary Plenary Meeting of the National Assembly (Angolan parliament).
The General State Account is the set of financial statements, an accounting document with budgetary and financial entries, plus management performance reports, corresponding to the acts of budgetary, financial, asset, and operational management and the safekeeping of public assets and values.
This document includes the accounts of all the bodies of the Central and Local State Administration and Public Services, Public Institutes and Autonomous Funds, as well as of the Social Security and Sovereign Bodies.
The Court of Audit sends to the Parliament its opinion on the General State Account together with the annual report, which must contain a summary of the jurisdictional deliberations referring to a specific financial year and proposes measures to be adopted to improve the financial management of public resources.
The approval of the General State Account (CGE) arises from legal precepts, on the basis of greater transparency about public management.
