Luanda – Angolan President, João Lourenço, inaugurated Monday the Public Television (TPA)’s content production centre that will mark its transition from analogical system to High Definition broadcasting.
The center, called "Ernesto Bartolomeu", was built through a 35 million Euros Japanese financing.
According to the TPA’s administrator of Content, Neto Júnior, with the digital system the quality of sound and image will improve considerably.
Neto Junior pointed out that TPA will also continue to broadcast in the analogue system to contemplate the less favoured families obeying the constitutional principles of universality and equality offering informative and entertainment contents to all.
According to Neto Júnior, the challenge is to make the television service in Angola increasingly accessible through the extension of the broadcasting network, adding that the airtime reserved for political parties during the electoral campaign is guaranteed.
The television's content administrator stated that the TPA has conditions for an electoral newsroom for 56 journalists and equipment, which will at the same time process texts, images and sound.
