Luanda - The presiding judge of the Angolan Court of Audit (TC), Exalgina Gamboa, Monday suggested the creation of an effective communication system between the top auditing institutions of the Community of Portuguese Speaking Countries.
The proposal aims at intensifying technical cooperation, exchange and specialised training among the member states of the Organisation of Supreme Audit Institutions of the Community of Portuguese Speaking Countries (OISC-CPLP).
It is an autonomous and independent association, created to foster the development of member institutions (courts of audits) through control and inspection of the use of public resources.
While speaking at the opening session of the technical meeting on strategic planning of the OISC-CPLP, which is taking place in Luanda until Thursday, Exalgina Gamboa expressed Angola´s commitment to contributing to the organisation's strategic vision improvement.
The Angolan TC presiding judge added that the vision of improvement should be materialised with greater cohesion, reciprocal advantages and through the fulfilment of mandates.
On the occasion, the judge defended the elaboration of comprehensive programmes and adequate actions to the reality of the organization´s member states.
To Exalgina Gamboa, the action programmes should include a monitoring system of the higher institutions of accountability, the creation of an executive secretariat, as well as human and financial resources.
The Technical Meeting of the Organisation of Supreme Audit Institutions of the Community of Portuguese-Speaking Countries (OISC-CPLP) aims to draw up the organisation´s Strategic Plan 2023-2028.
The event brings together officials from the General Secretariat of the OISC-CPLP and senior technicians from delegations of the seven member countries of the organisation, namely Angola, Brazil, Cabo Verde, Guinea Bissau, Portugal, Sao Tome and Principe and Mozambique.
