Luanda - Angola has received information on the main issues related to the preparations for the Russia-Africa Summit, scheduled for 27- 28 July 2023.
This was during an audience the Angolan minister of Foreign Affairs Téte António, granted to the Russian ambassador to Angola, Vladimir Tararov on Monday.
The event, which takes place in Saint Petersburg, follows up the Russia-Africa Summit, held in 2019, in Sochi, attended by the Angolan President João Lourenço.
In a press note, the Angolan Ministry of Foreign Affairs informs that the meeting between Téte António and Vladimir Tararov also analysed the holding of the next bilateral Intergovernmental session between Angola and Russia.
In the framework of multilateralism, the parties addressed issues linked to the agenda of the Third Committee of the United Nations General Assembly.
The discussions will run until next December to mark the conclusion of the work of the Third Committee of the UN General Assembly with the adoption of several resolutions.
The meeting between the minister Téte António and the ambassador Vladimir Tararov also served to praise the launch of the Angolan satellite “Angosat-2”.
The new Angolan satellite entered orbit last Wednesday (12), during which, the Angolan government hopes to place the country in a prominent position in communications in Africa.
