Luanda - Angola intends to bolster and expand military cooperation with Brazil in three branches of the armed forces, the Angolan ambassador to Brazil, Manuel Eduardo Bravo, recently announced in Brasília.
The intention of the Angolan State was disclosed during a meeting between the Southern African country’s diplomat Manuel Bravo and the Brazilian Minister of State for Defense José Múcio a statement has said, ANGOP learnt Friday.
The meeting also served for the parties to review the existing legal cooperation instruments in the Defense field, with the Brazilian official expressing openness and availability for the rapid implementation of the agreements.
Angola and Brazil maintain excellent relations of friendship and cooperation at various levels and areas, which were boosted by the State visit to Angola by President Lula da Silva, in August 2023.
The working meeting was attended by Brigadier Osvaldo Fernandes, Defense Attaché at the Angolan Embassy in Brazil, and general officers of the Brazilian Armed Forces. VIC/TED/AMP
