Luanda - Angola has been participating since Friday in Antalya (Turkey) in the 3rd Diplomacy Forum, which is debating important issues, especially global peace.
According to a press release sent to ANGOP, Ambassador José Patrício is representing Angola at the event, which is taking place under the slogan "The Relevance of Diplomacy in Times of Crisis".
Topics such as terrorism, illegal immigration, racism, xenophobia and Islamophobia, the influence of new technologies and Artificial Intelligence on diplomacy, climate change and the role of young people in global peace are being debated at the two-day meeting.
The Angolan ambassador to Turkey, José Patrício, said on the sidelines of the meeting that the forum's rich and wide-ranging agenda gives rise to broad debates and reflections on a wide variety of current issues.
Angolan diplomat added that the world is facing major challenges, threats and transitions that require decision-makers to be bold, firm and wise in redesigning the new paradigm of geopolitics and strategies for the sustainability of the planet.
Turkish President Recep Tayyip Erdogan, during his opening speech pointed out that inequalities in countries' incomes are growing exponentially, as are increasingly bloody wars.
The meeting, which ends on Saturday, is being attended by around 4,000 people, including a range of individuals, statesmen, foreign ministers, diplomats and businesspeople. VIC/DAN/DOJ
