Luanda - Angola is participating since Monday, Feb 10, in Paris, France, in a high-level summit promoted by the French Govt, on Artificial Intelligence Action.
The Minister of State and Chief of Staff of the President of the Republic, Adão de Almeida, heading a delegation, represents the Angolan Head of State in this high-level summit that ends on Wednesday, Feb 12.
The meeting brings together important figures from the global political, technological and business scene, with emphasis on the UN Secretary-General, António Guterres, the Head of the European Commission, Ursula Von Der Leyen, the US Vice-President, JD Vince and several CEO's of the largest global tech companies.
The first day was dedicated to interaction and technical approach, while on Tuesday, Feb 11, the high-level event takes place, with opening and closing sessions to be led by the French President, Emmanuel Macron.
On the sidelines of the meeting, President Emmanuel Macron offered a dinner, held at the Palais de l'Élysée, to the Heads of State, directors of international organizations and government representatives from various countries.
The summit takes place in a context of exploring opportunities for the adoption of public policies and regulation of the uses of artificial intelligence in Angola, which is increasingly relevant nowadays.
