Luanda - Angola and Turkey initialed a draft agreement on security and public order on Wednesday, awaiting a statement from the Turkish authorities regarding the date of definitive signature.
According to a press release that ANGOP had access Thursday, the Minister of the Interior, Eugénio Laborinho, received, in audience, the ambassador of Turkey accredited to Angola, Muhammet Mustafa Çelik, in which they analyzed the bilateral cooperation between the two countries.
In his speech, Eugénio Laborinho considered Turkey a viable and privileged partner, as it has contributed, substantially and preponderantly, to the sustainable development and diversification of the national economy.
On the other hand, the Turkish diplomat, Muhammet Mustafa Çelik, said the meeting served to deepen the existing bilateral cooperation between the two countries, with a focus on economic and social development.
The directors of Exchange and Cooperation, the Interior Minister's office, the head of the Department of International Cooperation and other MININT officials attended the event. FMA/ART/CF/DOJ
