Addis Ababa - Angola Foreign Affairs Minister, Téte António, and his Tunisian counterpart, Mohamed Ali Nafti, met on Thursday in Addis Ababa, Ethiopia, to discuss ways to deepen bilateral cooperation in political, diplomatic, economic and commercial fields.
The meeting between the two diplomatic chiefs took place at the headquarters of the African Union, on the sidelines of the 46th session of the AU Executive Council, which ended on Thursday.
The two ministers took the opportunity to discuss ways of strengthening cooperation in the field of education, particularly in terms of scholarships award, and to assess the efforts being made to promote cultural and educational exchanges, with the possibility of partnerships in training and the exchange of academic experiences.
Tunisia has also unilaterally decided to open its borders with Angola, allowing Angolan citizens to stay for up to ninety (90) days, subject to the country's legal requirements.
Relations between Angola and Tunisia are diplomatic and based on bilateral cooperation in the economic, political and cultural fields.
The two countries share common objectives in regional and international forums to promote peace, stability and development on the African continent.
Both countries have explored ways to increase bilateral trade and investment, particularly in sectors such as energy, agriculture and tourism.SR/FMA/ART/TED/AMP
