Luanda - The boost on the cooperation between Angola and Switzerland in several domains of mutual interest was the reason for the conversation held Tuesday, in Luanda, by the Minister of Foreign Affairs, Téte António, and the ambassador of the Swiss country to Angola, Lukas Gasser.
According to a press release to which ANGOP had access, the occasion was used for the Swiss ambassador to highlight his country's efforts in contributing to the diversification of the Angolan economy and supporting social development projects.
Ties between Angola and Switzerland have potential for growth, mainly in the scope of sustainable development and economic diversification in Angola.
The two countries established political-diplomatic relations shortly after Angola's independence in 1975.
Economic cooperation between Angola and Switzerland is significant, with several Swiss companies operating in the country, mainly in the technology, banking, transport, food, health, pharmaceutical, construction, raw materials and other sectors. FMA/ART/CF/DOJ
