Luanda - The strengthening of parliamentary relations between Angola and Palestine topped the meeting granted Thursday by the Speaker of the National Assembly, Fernando da Piedade Dias dos Santos, to the Palestinian ambassador.
The information was provided to the press by the ambassador of Palestine to Angola, Najah Abdul Rahman, at the end of the meeting, noting that the relations between both countries are excellent.
According to the diplomat, the parliaments of Angola and Palestine cooperate in several areas, with emphasis on international issues.
At the time, he thanked the support that Angola has given to the struggle for self-determination of that Middle Eastern country.
In the political field, Palestine opened its first representation in Luanda a few years after the independence of Angola, through the Palestine Liberation Organization (PLO).
