Luanda - The reinforcement of bilateral cooperation and the alignment of common strategies were at the table of the yesterday meeting, in Nouakchott, Mauritania, between the ambassador of Angola who is not resident in this country, Adão Pinto, and the Mauritanian minister of Foreign Affairs, Salem Ould Merzoug.
According to a press release sent to ANGOP, during the meeting, the two personalities assessed the state of the bilateral cooperation, focusing mainly on the political, diplomatic, economic, business, commercial and social segments.
Angola and Mauritania maintain politico-diplomatic relations and hope to increase them based on south-south cooperation, for the benefit of both countries' populations, highly looking at the current global dynamics.
With more than four million inhabitants and an economy based on mineral production and fishing, Mauritania stands out in the Sahel region for its security and political stability.
