Luanda - Angola and Japan on Wednesday, in Luanda, reassessed the ratification process of the Reciprocal Investment Protection Agreement between the two States.
According to a press release, the reassessment took place during a meeting between the Secretary of State for International Cooperation and Angolan Communities, Domingos Vieira Lopes, and the Japanese ambassador to Angola, Suzuki Toru.
The two interlocutors discussed issues related to 'Liberalization, Promotion and Protection of Investment', which aim to establish the conditions for a good business environment.
Ambassador Sukuzi Toru reiterated the importance of this legal instrument that will boost the attraction of Japanese investors to the Angolan market.
'Angola and Japan hope to continue working to satisfy common desires and intensify bilateral relations that are intended to be increasingly closer', he highlighted.
The Reciprocal Investment Protection Agreement (APRI) was signed between both countries on August 9, 2023.
Japan is one of the Asian countries bordering the Pacific Ocean.
