Luanda - The economic and financial blockade imposed by the United States of America on Cuba dominated the meeting held Thursday between the vice-president of the ruling MPLA, Luísa Damião, and the ambassador of that Caribbean country to Angola, Oscar Léon Gonzalez.
Speaking to the press, the diplomat said Cuba has found solutions to mitigate the effects of the blockade, despite the difficulties and that the blockade, which has lasted for several years, is having a very negative effect on the Cuban people.
According to the ambassador, the meeting is part of an exchange between the ruling parties in the two countries, as well as between the two governments, based on a historic relationship, which was recently strengthened with the signing of a cooperation agreement during the visit to Cuba by the Secretary for International Relations of the MPLA Political Bureau, Manuel Augusto.MGM/ART/DAN/AMP
