Luanda - Angola and Cuba discussed Wednesday in Luanda the strengthening and development of cooperation in the field of defence and security, with stress to the industry, health and military education.
Cooperation between the countries was addressed in an audience the Minister of State and Head of the Military Affairs Office to the Presidency of the Republic Francisco Furtado granted to a Cuban delegation, led by the Deputy Minister of the Revolutionary Armed Forces of Cuba, General Joaquim Quintas Solas.
Francisco Furtado and General Joaquim Quintas Solas also reviewed the social situation in Cuba, which was hit by the Hurricane Ian, last October.
The Cuban military delegation has been in Angola since Tuesday.
Angola and Cuba have signed agreements in several fields of cooperation. The first accord dates back to February 1976 and based on the sectors of Health and Education.
Both countries share historic political, diplomatic, economic, commercial and cultural ties.
