Luanda - Republics of Angola and Congo are due to sign next November a convention on judicial cooperation in civil, commercial and administrative matters and an agreement for the Constitution of the Joint Permanent Commission for Defence and Security between the two countries.
Within the framework of cooperation, the two countries will also sign an agreement on political consultations between the Ministries of External Relations of Angola and Foreign Affairs, Francophonie and Congolese Abroad, as well as a regulation on the organisation and functioning of the Joint Standing Sub-Committee on Defence and Security.
The draft agreements should be concluded within the next six months, according to the recommendations of the Angola-Congo Bilateral Cooperation Commission which met from 18 to 20 this month in the Congolese capital of Brazzaville.
The delegations were led by the Angolan minister of Foreign Affairs Téte António and the Congolese minister for International Cooperation and Promotion of Public-Private Partnership, Denis Christel Sassou N'guesso, according to the final communiqué of the commission reached ANGOP on Thursday.
The parties discussed, among others, the issues related to cooperation in the political, diplomatic, defence and security fields.
