Luanda - Angola and Brazil Wednesday in Brasilia analysed the reinforcement of cooperation on security at a meeting that gathered the secretaries of State for the Interior of Angola José Paulino Cunha da Silva and Public Security of Brazil, Tadeu Alencar.
The meeting took place on the sidelines of the 7th Meeting of the Angola-Brazil Joint Commission, according to a press release from the Angolan representative in Brazil.
The participants assessed the implementation of the Agreement on Security and Internal Order signed in 2019 in the Angolan capital, Luanda, the source added.
The meeting also discussed the exchange of operational information as well as the training and qualification of staff.
With the same purpose, José Paulino Cunha da Silva met with the Director-General of the Federal Police, Andrei Rodrigues, during which, they
identified the new areas subject to cooperation and practical methods for preventing and combating drug trafficking and other cross-border crimes.
Likewise, the parties addressed matters related to the prevention and fight against money laundering, terrorist financing, financial fraud and trafficking in human beings and organs, among others.
Accompanied by the Secretary of State is accompanied by high officials from the Ministry of the Interior of Angola. SC
