Luanda - The Angolan government, on Wednesday in Luanda Province, denied that it is in negotiations with the British authorities allegedly to take in illegal migrants repatriated from the United Kingdom.
In a statement, the Ministry of Foreign Affairs made this information public to react to speculation in the foreign press on the subject.
The Ministry explains that it has learnt in recent days of information circulated by various international media outlets, according to which the Angolan Government is in such negotiations with the British government.
"The Ministry of Foreign Affairs hereby informs national and international public opinion that this information does not correspond to reality and that the Angolan Government denies any contact with the British Government in this regard", reads the document.
