Lubango - Artificial Intelligence (AI) and Climate Education should be included in non-university education curricula, argued Angolan delegates who attended the World Education Forum in London from 19 to 22 this month.
Angola attended the event with two education sectors, namely the Ministry of Higher Education, Science, Technology and Innovation, represented by its secretary of State, Eugénio Silva, and the Ministry of Education represented by the secretary of State for Secondary Education, Gildo Matias José.
According to a press release from the Angolan Embassy in the United Kingdom, Northern Ireland and Republic of Ireland, the Angolan delegation will return with contributions to apply these resources in the implementation of new teaching methods.
“Climate change and new technologies are at the heart of the concerns of the political decision-making bodies of the countries that were present in London at the event organised by the British government”, reads the note.
The World Education Forum 2024 was organised by the British Council, which has already impacted 600 million people around the world with its actions.
The motto of this year's event was “Encouraging understanding of Artificial Intelligence, building human relationships and resilience, and accelerating climate action”.
