Luanda - The Minister of State for Economic Coordination, José Massano, on Thursday in Rio de Janeiro, (Brazil) on the last day of the G20 Ministerial Meeting, said Angola agrees with reforms in various international organizations, especially the United Nations.
According to the minister, quoted in a press release that reached ANGOP, global reform is an imperative and that is the time to turn the page and start implementing it, as it has been on the agenda for some time.
The minister added that for Angola, multilateral organizations such as the United Nations, the International Monetary Fund (IMF) and the World Bank must undergo a deep reform adjusted to the new times and emerging challenges.
José Massano said the time calls for action and the United Nations needs to adopt an attitude more in line with the objectives that led to its creation, and the World Bank and the International Monetary Fund are called upon to contribute more actively to the stability and economic prosperity of all nations.
On the sidelines of the meeting, the Minister of State met with the Japanese Foreign Affairs Minister, Yoko Kamikwa, to analyze ways to strengthen friendship, cooperation and trade relations between the two nations.
It also discussed the possibility of a Japanese multinational setting up a car assembly plant in Angola, in the near future.
