Luanda - The Republic of Angola is hosting from today, Wednesday, the meeting of the Permanent Joint Commission (PJC) between the Democratic Republics of Congo and Rwanda, as part of the current presidency of the International Conference on the Great Lakes Region (ICGLR).
The meeting is being held at the Ministry of Foreign Affairs, in Luanda, with the participation of the Deputy Prime Minister and Minister of Foreign Affairs of the Democratic Congo, Christophe Lutundula Apala Pen'Apala, and the Minister of Foreign Affairs and International Cooperation of Rwanda, Vicent Biruta.
At the meeting, which ends on Thursday (21), the Angolan Foreign Minister, Téte António, in his capacity as President of the Inter-Ministerial Regional Committee of the ICGLR, welcomed the holding of the Permanent Joint Commission, considering it "a mechanism of unique importance in the framework of addressing all issues inherent to the strengthening of bilateral cooperation in the most varied fields.
He encouraged the delegations of the DRC and Rwanda to a fruitful meeting, focused on the need to create a favourable climate for the strengthening and deepening of cooperation, for the well-being and prosperity of the populations of the respective countries, as well as the harmony of the entire region.
