Luanda - The National Assembly (AN), on Wednesday, in Luanda, is to hold the 1st ordinary plenary meeting of the 3rd Legislative Session of the 5TH Legislature, with emphasis on the final global vote on several legal documents.
According to the program, before the agenda, some specific documents will be read, as well as quarterly political statements will be presented.
Afterwards, the deputies will decide on the disciplinary process against deputy Alberto José Catenda.
The analysis and voting on the diary referring to the 7th Ordinary Plenary Meeting of the 2nd Legislative Session, held on July 18, 2024, is also on the agenda.
Global Final Vote
The parliament members will also, for the last time, vote on several Bills, namely the one linked to the Special Regime for the Availability and Consumption of Alcoholic Beverages and the one that amends Law n⁰ 1/12, of 12 January, on Designation and Execution of International Legal Acts, as well as the voting on the draft law on the Ombuds's Office, the General Coffer of the Courts and the one amending the General Electricity Law.
Request for legislative authorization
The program of the day also includes assessment and voting on requests for Legislative Authorization in order for the President of the Republic, as head of the Government, to legislate on the amendment of the Block 14 Concession Area, as well as the General Principles Relating to the Organization and Application of Index Structure of Salary Tables and Public Service Remuneration Supplements or Subsidies.
The Bill that creates the Commemorative Medal for the 50th Anniversary of National Independence and the resolution that approves Angola's accession to the Southern African Development Community (SADC) Project on Employment and Work will also be discussed and voted on in general.
Finally, deputies will discuss and vote on the Draft Resolution to approve the Budget of the National Assembly for the 2025 Economic Year.
