Luanda - National Assembly (AN) Board said on Tuesday that the installation and end-of-term-related allowances are in accordance with the provisions of the organic laws of the Statute of the MPs and the Remuneration Statute.
The clarification comes in reaction to the reports circulating on social media of the alleged increase in the added values for the Installation and end-of-term related allowance.
ANGOP learnt from the institution’s press note that the allowances are settled only once in the Legislature, being paid at the beginning of the term to deputies taking office and at the end of the term for those who definitively cease their duties.
"The implementation of what is laid down in the above resolutions will be carried out as soon as there are financial conditions for this purpose, that must be safeguarded in the National Assembly budget, under its Administrative, Financial and Patrimonial Autonomy", reads the document.
According to the press note, after its implementation, the installation and end-of-term subsidies will ensure, in a harmonious and efficient way, the performance of the MPs in the exercise of their functions, or their re-integration in social life. VM/TED/NIC
