Luanda - Angolan ambassador Florêncio de Almeida was accredited to Cooperative Republic of Guyana on Monday.
The diplomat, who was accredited by the president of the South American country, Mohamed Irfaan Ali, reiterated Angola’s availability to promote an outstanding, serious and effective partnership with Guyana.
According to Florêncio de Almeida, his accreditation opens a new era of relationship between the Governments and States in terms of strengthening political and diplomatic ties and bilateral cooperation.
Guyana is rich in mineral resources namely gold, diamond, bauxite, copper, nickel, aluminum and oil.
Guyana has a population esteemed at 763,893 habitants.
With permanent residence in Brazil, Florêncio de Almeida was also recently accredited in Colombia.
