Luanda - The Parliamentary Group of the opposition UNITA party has expressed dismay over the death of the musician Jacinto Tchipa, who died Wednesday in Luanda victim of illness.
In a condolences message that reached ANGOP, UNITA says it considers Jacinto Tchipa as a distinguished musician, whose compositions touched the soul of several generations and extracts of the Angolan society.
"Jacinto Tchipa is an unavoidable reference of the national culture," reads the message.
For the party, his premature death deprives Angola of one of its most respected musicians, whose songs will be forever etched in the collective memory of Angolans.
