Luanda - The carnival group União Mundo da Ilha, current title holders of the Luanda Carnival, declined to participate in the edition of Carnival Live to be held on 14 and 16 of February to take place at a stage of the Angola Public Television Production Center.
The most prestigious Carnival group in Luanda, with 12 titles, point out as reasons for not participating since 70 percent of its members are in the group at risk.
This edition will not include the participation of União Recreativo Kilamba, winners of the 2018 and 2019 titles, respectively.
For this edition, the participation of 27 group is confirmed, 11 in class A and 16 in class B.
Each group, according to the organization, will have 15 minutes in class A and 10 minutes in B to parade, unlike the 25 minutes in previous editions.
