Luanda – Samuel Guimarães won on Saturday the 3rd edition of the music contest called "Luanda gentes e música" held in Luanda, which selected the representative of Talatona's municipality for the provincial music contest.
The event is an initiative of AF- Entretenimento & Nossa Cena, Arte e Produções and aims to rescue the Angolan ancestral music, through new talents and new voices.
The jury, composed by renowned musicians in the Angolan market, had as criteria the lyrics, music, melody, harmonic harmony, interpretation and voice.
Talatona is the third Luanda's municipality to host the cultural event after Cazenga and Belas, whose winners were "Tuximane" and the trio "Emo", respectively.
The act was witnessed by the minister of Culture, Jomo Fortunato, the vice-governor of the province of Luanda, Dionísio da Fonseca, the local administrator, Rui Duarte, the province's government officials and musicians.
