Malanje - The expansion of the royal family and the creation of Administrative Offices in the municipalities of Malanje and other provinces that comprise the Kingdom of Ndongo and Matamba constitute the main focus of the new sovereign Luís Ngola Njungo “Diba Ngola Njungo”.
The plan was announced today, Friday, by King Diba Ngola Njungo, at the ceremony of its official introduction to government authorities and the population of Malanje.
On the occasion, the sovereign said that the current reign has 48 conservative members of the Ngola Kiluanje power, compared to the previous 38, stressing that more people from the Ngola lineage will soon be mobilized to join the Court, in order to revitalize its functioning.
The king said he remains faithful to the main lines of his mandate, presented at his enthronement, on November 8, 2023, which sets out as goals the reinforcement of the appreciation of the uses and customs of the Ndongo region, the intensification of interaction with other kingdoms of the country, without neglecting foreign counterparts, in defense of common interests.
He also recalled that his action plan includes boosting actions to combat hunger and poverty in the region, as factors in reducing regional asymmetries, and compliance with customary and constitutional principles.
During his intervention, Diba Ngola Njungo defended social mobilization in defense of social unity and peace, in addition to cooperation between traditional authorities and municipal administrations in tasks aimed at social well-being.
Guided by the Secretary of State for Culture, Maria da Piedade de Jesus, the event was also attended by the provincial governor of Malanje, Marcos Nhunga, members of the Royal Court, the kings of Bailundo, Ekuikui VI, das Lundas, Mwatchissengue Watembo , Bakongo, António Charle Muana Uta, from Porto Amboim, Ngana Lunga IX, and the vice-governor of Cuanza-Norte for the Technical Sector and Infrastructures.
Deputies to the National Assembly, judicial and Public Prosecutor's Office magistrates, religious authorities, academics, artists, among others, attended also the ceremony.

Ngola Njungo “Diba Ngola Njungo” was born on December 23, 1955, in the town of Kizela, municipality of Cahombo. He is a descendant of Mudile Andombo Amana, one of the five mothers of the Ngola lineage.
He has a secondary course in Teacher Training and has held, among other functions, municipal commissioner of Cahombo, deputy of the extinct Popular Assembly of Malanje (1986-1991), political head of the ODP Detachment (People’s Defense Organization) in the sector of Kizela (1976-1979) and political head of the third Company of the Reserve Battalion of the Popular Armed Forces for the Liberation of Angola (FAPLA).
