Luanda - The second season of the Angolan mini-series "Makongo" will resume next December, with eight chapters of 50 minutes each episode featuring 220 national actors, its director, Mawete Paciência, said.
Speaking to the press during the presentation ceremony at the National Archive of Angola, the Angolan filmmaker and mentor of the project, explained that in the second season - "Na mira da Lei", the scenes will highlight 80 percent of the real cases that happen on a daily basis in Angola.
Mawete Paciencia added that the main themes will be based on situations related to fraud and embezzlement, crimes that in recent times have been disseminated with great frequency by the media.
On the other hand, Mawete Paciência thanked the institutional support from the Ministry of Interior for providing material and data related to criminal issues.
In the meantime, the CEO of Xtagiarious, Edson de Oliveira, official sponsor of "Makongo" said the idea of being part of this initiative is to raise the Angolan culture to the highest level in the world of cinema.
