Luanda - Angolan singer Esfilêndio dos Santos, artistitically known as "Sebem", on Saturday in Luanda will launch his new album entitled "Sebem onde estás?" (Sebem where are you?), eight years after the artist's absence from the music market for health reasons.
The album, made up of nine tracks, will be launched in the Independence Park, in Luanda, and will be sold simultaneously in ten of the country's provinces.
The disc is coming out with the the support of the National Radio of Angola (RNA).
According to what ANGOP had access to on Tuesday, Sebem's new work features Kuduro songs, as well as Sungura and Semba music styles.
Angop has learnt that the songs on the album began to be recorded ten years ago, with executive production by producers Pandy Santana and Adalberto Culanda also known as "Jeff Brown".
After a period of absence from the stage for health reasons, the artist says he is ready to please his fans again.
Esfilêndio dos Santos was born in Luanda on 7 August 1977. His musical career began in Luanda 's Desportivo Clube da Banca (a sports club), as an entertainer at ceremonies, where he rose to prominence.
He is the author of the hits "Paranoías", "Meteu Dibengo", "Coveiro Filipado", "Felicidade", "Makumba" and many other hits.
Sebem is also entitled by some people as the King of Kuduro music and dancing style and due to his posture on stage he became one of the country's most popular artists in the 1990s.
