Luanda - São Tomé and Principe takes over the two-year rotating chair of the Council of Ministers of Culture of the Community of the Portuguese-Speaking Countries (CPLP), from July.
Angola transferred the chair during the II Special Meeting of Ministers of Culture of the CPLP, held Friday in Luanda province.
The event assessed the level of implementation of the action plan on multilateral cultural cooperation of 2022-2024, the cooperation between Portuguese language and other conversational language, among other aspects.
Speaking to the press, Isabel Veiga de Abreu, São Tomé´s minister of Education, Culture and Science, said that, although it is in the organisational phase, there are already lines of force to be implemented during the next two years.
In turn, the Angolan minister of Culture and Tourism, Filipe Zau, expressed his willingness to support the Republic of São Tomé and Príncipe to comply with the leadership mission with success.
