Talatona- The Ministry of Culture and Tourism, as from April this year will be promoting cultural interconnection in Angola's 18 provinces as part of the project named "Mbanza Yetu - the country in the Iron Palace".
The project, presented on Monday night during the gala dinner celebrating National Culture Day, is an initiative of Onart production company, in partnership with the Ministry of Culture and Tourism and aims, in a first phase, to promote the tourist and cultural potential of Angola's provinces from April 2024 to September 2027.
During the presentation, the manager of the Iron Palace, João Viagário, explained that the project is a platform that interconnects provinces and has the Iron Palace at its centre.
He said that they intend to mobilise the cultural focus through the provinces via their cultural and artistic events, moving people around and generating financial resources and employability.
He said that the provinces will be linked through concerts, theatre shows, dances, art exhibitions, gastronomy and general services, with the Iron Palace at its centre which has also served as a protocol vehicle for the exhibition and promotion of foreign cultures.
The second phase of the project will begin in 2028 until 2030.
