Luanda – Angolan musician Paulo Flores is due to represent Angola at a meeting that Pope Francis will have with artists from across the world at the Vatican, on June 23.
The act is part of the commemoration of the 50th anniversary of the meeting of Pope Paul VI with artists, which took place on June 23, 1973.
Paulo Flores is a guest of the Holy See, thanks to his artistic career and the national relevance of the Angolan musician.
The private meeting with the Pope takes place in the Sistine Chapel at 9 a.m.
Paulo Flores is one of the most prominent singers of Angolan popular music, and is known as "ambassador" of samba music in the world. He is respected by several generations of Angolan musicians, thanks to many hits he has recorded over more than 30 years of career.
