Luanda - The Musical Band “Os Kiezos” resumed on Sunday, Feb 9, performances to the Kilamba's Cultural Recreation Center, in Luanda, to open the 2025 cultural day.
At 12:30 pm, with Semba's (Angola Flag Rhythm) backyard almost "full", the group took to the stage with the songs "Zaboba", "Muá Pangu", "Milhorró", "Nguami Kusoba", "Kiezu jabu", "Monami messene", "Kuxingue ngamba", "Candonga" and "Comboio".
After a brief break in performance, the group returned to the stage more reinvigorated with "Princesa Rita", "Jingololo", "Tristezas não paga dívida", among other songs.
During the event, the artist Guilhermino, to pay homage to the late singer Bangão, recalled hits such as "Kamba Diame", "Dioguito", "Muxima" and "Nda Licença", while Tony do Fumo Filho performed "Mamã Mamã", "Muxima" and "Monami".
Singer Boto Trindade, accompanied by the band, returned to the stage 30 minutes after the break, to the sound of guitar, percussion, drums and piano.
To end the afternoon performances of this 2025 1st edition, Robertinho made everyone present to dance with "Problema", "Kixixima", "Kiowa", "Kakinhento" and "Massoxi".
The group began its musical activities in the 60s. Its history dates back to 1963, in the Marçal neighborhood, when Domingos António Miguel da Silva (Kituxe) decided to bring together Marito, Adolfo Coelho and Avozinho (all instrumentalists) to form the musical band with Tininho and Anselmo de Sousa Arcanjo (Marito).
