Luanda - The book 'Olá Titilá', by Angolan journalist António Campos, was presented on Tuesday in Rio de Janeiro, Brazil, to the Angolan community residing in that country.
According to a note sent to ANGOP, the event took place at the cultural centre of the Angolan consulate in that Brazilian state, and was attended by vice consul Eduarda Lemos, representing the consul general.
At the end of the event, everyone present was given a copy of the book with their autograph.
The 300-page book "Olá Titilá" (Hello Titilá) is a collection of texts in honour of journalist António Campos that brings together more than 100 testimonies from personalities in various fields about the former journalist's life and work, and is intended to mark his birthday on 31 July.
Chancelled by Editora Gestgráfica, it is a tribute to the journalist from Rádio Nacional de Angola, also known as "Titilá do Rangel". The book was presented in Luanda on 20 July.
Born in Rangel, the son of Sebastião dos Santos Neto "Tôto" and Antónia Nazaré Campos, António Campos was born on 31 July 1969. He has been a media professional for over three decades.
In 1996, at the proposal of Minister António Burity da Silva, he set up the Communications Office of the Angolan Government's Ministry of Education (he has also been responsible for Higher Education and Culture) and was its head until 2018.
He has worked as a press officer for various governmental and private organisations. He has a degree in Journalism from Belarus State University and a Master's degree in Communication and Image Consultancy from Camilo José Cela University (Madrid, Spain).
He is a member of staff at Rádio Nacional de Angola, where he started out in children's programmes and, most recently, worked as a senior advisor to the Chairman of the Board of Directors of the same radio station.
He is currently a Counsellor at the Angolan Embassy in Argentina, responsible for the Institutional Communication and Press Services.AMC/PA/DAN/DOJ
