Huambo – At least 80 actors from the provinces of Huambo and Luanda will attend, between the 16th to 18th of this month, in the 2nd edition of the “Fest Nkumby Lixia”, ANGOP learned Wednesday.
With a stage in the auditorium of the Huambo provincial library, the event will feature 9 theater groups, namely El-Shadai, Morro do Moco, Vanguevove, Chissola, Nkumby Lixia, Eliandji Teatro do Huambo, Kwata Peka, Caála, Tandavala (Mungo) and Ya Njila from Luanda.
Speaking to ANGOP, the secretary for external affairs of the provincial theater association in Huambo, Eduardo Livongue Djundo, said the initiative aims to promote the exchange of experience, between local actors and those from Luanda, in order to unite the class of the two provinces, with strong traditions in the performing arts.
He said that the activity, to be carried out by the provincial theater association, in partnership with the local culture, tourism, youth and sports office, will be marked with a communication and cultural exchange workshop.
He also informed that during the event, theatrical Play that portraits the social and economic growth taking place in the country, will be performed.
