Saurimo - The poetic book entitled “Ecos da Dipanda”, which brings together 20 authors from the country's 18 provinces, was launched and sold on Monday, in Saurimo, Lunda-Sul Province.
Speaking to ANGOP, the coordinator of the poetic anthology, Walter Mateus, informed that the book, with 102 pages, celebrates the cultural and historical richness of Angola, reflecting on the identity and resistance of the people in the fight for freedom.
He added that the work tells stories of national independence, in the form of poetry, paying homage to the first president of Angola, Agostinho Neto, and other freedom fighters.
Walter Mateus said that, in the first phase, 508 books were edited and published, of which more than 200 were made available to readers in Lunda-Sul.
After Lunda-Sul, the book will be presented and sold in the provinces of Lunda-Norte and Huíla. JW/HD/MRA/DOJ
