Luanda – The Angolan guitarist and founder of the Os Kiezos group, Marito, died Monday of illness, the National Association of Artists and Composers (UNAC-S.A) has said.
In a note published on the facebook page, the Managing Commission of the National Association of Artists and Composers sends its deepest condolences to the bereaved family.
Marito stood out in the Kiezos in 60s and 70s, alongside Avozinho, Kituxi and Juventino, sponsored by Pedro Bonzela Franco.
He recorded 14 singles and had two participations in the “Long Plays” (LP) “Rebita 74 e 75”.
Marito participated in the recording of the hits, such as “Milhorró”, “Quem Não Faz Filho”, “Princesa Rita”, “Rumba 70”, “Muxima” and “Semba Popular”.
