Luanda - Angolan singer and songwriter Maya Cool will launch his new album entitled "Histórias" on November 11, at the Independence Square, in Luanda.
Speaking to ANGOP this Wednesday, in Luanda, the musician said that 1,500 copies will be made available of this album, which has 16 tracks in different styles, namely Kizomba, Semba, Coladera and Ballad.
The album, which will be released 11 years after his last one, has the participation of various musicians, including Tito Paris, Eduardo Paím, Matias Damásio, Ary, Konde and Puto Português, as well as the musician’s daughter Malunne.
The album portrays stories and trajectory of the artist, whose first show after the release is scheduled for November 25.
Maya Cool began his career at the age of nine in the choir group of the Cristo Rei Church in Luanda.
At the age of 11 he entered a competition for children's singers organised by the National Radio of Angola (RNA)’s "Pio-Pio" programme.
He rocketed to fame in the 1990s with songs such as "Lágrimas", "Naquele dia", Ti paciência", Junta ma nós" among others.
Maya Cool has released the following albums: "Lágrimas", "Igual a ti", "Anjo" and "Amores".
