Luanda - An exhibition of art in digital format of poetry and visual arts, entitled "Arte Liberdade," has been open since Wednesday evening at the Brazil/Angola Cultural Centre (CCBA), as part of the Portuguese language festivities.
The exhibition aims at offering the public the opportunity to appreciate the aesthetics and at the same time to promote critical reflection on the humanistic value of freedom, through the works of 40 Brazilian and 3 Greek artists that approach the proposed theme from different perspectives.
According to ANGOP, the director of the Cultural Centre Brazil/Angola, Marisa Cristiano, said that the exhibition is a project that has been proposed for two years, but due to the pandemic situation it was postponed to a safer date.
Marisa Cristiano explained that the exhibition recreates the existing relations between Art and Freedom and the way in which the artistic means use poetry, videos, photographs, painting and performance that somehow bring the idea of a free expression that the arts need.
The exhibition brings several activities related to the diversity and multicentrality of the Portuguese Language in the world and counts on a partnership with the Portuguese Cultural Centre (Camões). It will be available to the public for visit from 5 to 22 May.
