Luanda - A theatrical play entitled "Santos e Pecadores" (Saints and Sinners), by the Imbondeiro-Teatro group, is scheduled to be performed on October 5th this year, in the auditorium of Njinga Mbande school, in Luanda.
According to stage director of the group, Katondi Paulo, speaking to ANGOP on Monday, the play portrays the life of Tânia, a young woman who played with men's feelings, which resulted in making her suffer the consequences of her actions
The official, who is also the director of the group, said the play “Saints and Sinners” draws attention to the female sector of society in order to adopt more responsible behavior during dating time, avoiding disrespecting their partners.
The Imbondeiro-Teatro group was founded on December 23, 2000, in Santa Bárbara Parish, in the Corea neighborhood, Samba urban district, in Luanda.
It has more than 30 plays, with emphasis on "O grande conflito" (The Great Conflict), "Amor e Ódio” (Love and Hatred", "Kimpa Vita: a sacerdotisa do Congo" (Kimpa Vita: the priestess of the Congo), "O descodificar quadragésimo quinto" (The forty-fifth decode) and many others.
The group has already won the Award for Best Theater Show and Best Actor, in the theater category, at the Martyrs Festival in the Province of Bié, in 2015.
It also won the Best Show Award at the Cazenga Theater Festival in 2015, and the Café Mabuba Coffee Festival Award, in the New Show category in the province of Uíge, in 2019.
The group is made up of 10 members, all over 30 years of age.
