Luanda - The Art and Culture Foundation honoured seven Angolan female singers on Saturday in Luanda Province for their contribution to the growth of national music.
These are singers Clara Monteiro, Dina Santos, Belita Palma, Tonicha Miranda, Ângela Ferrão, Naní and Lurdes Van-Dúnem, as well as the music group "As Gingas do Maculusso" was also recognised.
The tribute was made through a performance of the artists' songs, in a session that included dance, poetry and theatre.

Singer Ângela Ferrão said it was very pleasant and interesting to be one of the artists honoured.
She emphasised the fact that the foundation uses children to provide a pleasant musical environment, as a transmission of values that contributes to the enrichment of Angolan music.
At the time, the artist São Lurdes, who represented Lurdes Van-Dúnem at the event, said that these interpretations immortalise the achievements of the honoured artists.
